Eddyline Sky 10 Review

The Eddyline Sky 10 is a more compact version of their incredibly popular Skylark. The Sky 10 is smaller and lighter, but with the same size cockpit as the Skylark, and the same speed, efficiency, and performance that the Skylark, and all Eddyline kayaks, are known for.

The Eddyline Sky 10 has a two-layer ABS laminate hull for incredible stiffness and great performance, with the ease and repairability of plastic. The large cockpit has Eddyline’s famous Infinity seat for hours of comfort, and it has two hatches for plenty of storage.

All this in an extremely lightweight kayak, perfect for cartopping and solo carrying. Designed for people who want small, light kayaks that are fast, efficient, and fun on the water, the Sky 10 does it all.

Construction and build

The Eddyline Sky 10 has excellent performance and handling, but weighs just 32 pounds, making it much easier to store, move, and transport. Despite being just 10 feet long, it has plenty of speed and efficiency to keep up with larger kayaks during casual cruising.

The ABS laminate hull has a smooth, glossy surface with the looks and performance of composite. The multi-layered hull is abrasion resistant and UV resistant for excellent durability. It’s a great option for people who want a fast, agile, efficient kayak, but have a smaller body size that makes 12-foot kayaks less comfortable.

Speaking of comfort, the Eddyline Sky 10 has a spacious cockpit with room for a small dog, and Eddyline’s famous Infinity Seat. The Infinity seat has nonslip height adjustment and seat adjustments to fit almost anybody.

The duo-foam padded back rest has a UV and abrasion resistant cover, and the Infinity seat is ergonomically designed with padded thigh braces, hip support, and lumbar support to reduce fatigue and keep you comfortable for hours of paddling.

The Eddyline Sky 10 has hatches in both bow and stern bulkheads for secure storage. Bungee deck lines provide additional storage. Retractable handles on the bow and stern make it easy to transport and carry.

About the brand: Eddyline

Eddyline Kayaks was founded in 1971 by whitewater pioneer Tom Derrer. Derrer was one of the first boat makers to work with fiberglass, building his own kayak with a rented mold. His designs were so popular that they launched a business which became a movement. Eddyline pioneered new methods and materials that made their kayaks continually lighter, more versatile, and more enjoyable.

Eddyline remains an American family business to this day, where quality matters more than quantity, service matters more than profits, and they continually strive to design, refine, improve, and make the best kayaks in the country. They are proud to make kayaks in the USA and to support their local economy.
